Kapit Thru My Eyes

Since I am in Kapit, I took some time walking around the town area, sight seeing and getting to know Kapit a little bit better. People starts pouring in early in the morning bringing goods from the farms and the jungle to the market. The fishermen would bring fishes from the river and some are so expensive like "ikan empurau" a river fish that can cost you RM600 a kilogram there in Kapit but it will cost you RM850 a kilogram in one of the seafood restaurant in Kuching I've been too.
The market in Kapit is like the other markets in Sarawak are always an attraction, you can buy almost everything. Fresh vegetables, all kind of meat and poultry, household products, fuels and a lot more.
If you want fresh air, cool weather, green surrounding and uniqueness in it's personality please do visit Kapit.
Here are the pictures of Kapit.

Seeing is believing, I highly recommend anyone who love nature at it best to come to Kapit. There are a lot of beautiful sites like the Wong Tinggi Waterfall which was highly praise by the locals where you can see a 50 meter high waterfall or you might be interested in one of the oldest longhouses in Kapit located approximately 38KM from town. This two places I myself have not been too but from the stories and descriptions, it must be something spectacular to see and visit. I hope I have the opportunity to come back and see it myself next time around.
Kapit is the true treasure of the mighty Rejang river.
