The Spring, Kuching 15th to 17th July 2011

Hi guys, after traveling around the center of Sarawak, we drove back home to Kuching on the 11th July right after Betong. The trip from Betong to Kuching was very tiring and we did our pit stop at Serian around 8pm for dinner.

A few days of rest in Kuching was good for everyone. The Spring Kuching was important because the bosses from Toyota are expected to visit the venue at any time.

Here are some of the pictures from The Toyota Road Show in The Spring, Kuching.

Toyota Road Show : Betong 10th & 11th July 2011

Betong, Menara Jam 10th & 11th July 2011

Right after we've done Saratok that late afternoon we head straight to Betong. If you have not been to Betong for a while you might not recognize it. Go there and see it for youself.
Here are some more pictures of the event and also sites of the new area in Betong.

In Betong our venue was actually right in the middle of a popular corner for the locals. A good response from Betong even though it was a hot day.

We spend 2 days in Betong. I found out that locals will start their weekend early and get the supplies they need from Betong and heads home.

I hope I be able to go to Betong again to see the new area when it's done.

Next is Kuching City in The Spring.

The Toyota Road Show : Saratok 8th & 9th July 2011

Saratok 8th & 9th July 2011.

I left Kuching at 2pm and arrived at the Saratok at around 7pm. The Biaramas bus don't turn to Saratok, so I got the guys pick me up at the junction. According to the local the STC buses do enter Saratok. You can actually go to the bus terminal to get the latest route.

The Saratok set up.
The pose right after saying a few words and the quizzes about the cars. The are merchandises to give away. Mini fan and caps by Toyota.
The early birds with curiosity viewing the cars. We received a good responses from folks in Saratok. Right behind is a cafe that served good food and clean too. Try the "roti canai" there.
The view from across the street early in the morning before the cars arrived.
Mid day pose. Hot.
The Saratok pose.
The crews are busy clearing up. The lorry driver is Ah Lai, you guys should meet him. He drive his lorry all over Sarawak.
The crew and I set up stright to Betong which is only about 40 minutes from Saratok.
Almost ready and heads up to Betong, our next destination.

In Saratok I found out that people in the area still recognized my voice. I am glad they still know me and that make it easier for me to run the show.

Our next venue is Betong.

The Toyota Road Show : Bau 3rd & 4th July 2011

 Bau 3rd & 4th July 2011.

The venue is at the main road with a small round about in the middle. Have a look at the pictures of the place. The venue was set up earlier right after we have done the one in Lundu on the same day.
In side the canopies. Like the one in Lundu, very hot but the response and sales was good.
The Toyota Sales Crew in Bau came early to get the show rolling. I was there right after the half boiled eggs and "roti kawin" session in the morning. Mesti.
See how hot I look. The number one is the number for the sun in numerology so I guess I should be okay with the sun's heat.
This picture was taken at 6:45 am in the morning of the 2nd day in Bau, from my sitting place at Lina Cafe for my eggs and toasts. The traffic was busy and the place seems to come alive early.
The sky dancers in the middle of the day. The Toyota Road Show in Bau, Kuching.
Me getting creative.
Yup, that's me.
Another picture from Lina Cafe in Bau for The Toyota Road Show.

In Bau we stayed at Jambusan Inn, the only inn in Bau. Cost about RM50 a night single room. Mine don't have any window at all.

Please bring your own towels and soap and book early because it's always full.

Right after the second day in Bau, I left for Kuching because of an early booking for my service as an emcee. The team proceed to Serian for their next venue.

I be only joining them in Saratok.

The Toyota Road Show : The Beginning - Lundu 2nd July 2011
