The Bahagia Express Boat Trip From Sibu To Kuching

Hi friends, this is about my boat trip home to Kuching using the express boat from Sibu. The last time I took the express boat was a few years ago. The journey take about 4 hours depending on the tide and cost me RM45 from Sibu to Kuching.


The boat made "pit stop" at Sarikei and Tanjung Manis to pick up more passengers and letting some off. Both jetty was busy all the time according to the guy who is the assistant to the "juragan".
There were no life jackets given even though it is important to wear it when you are in an express boat and I am very sure not all of the passenger knows how to swim including me.  The Rejang river is huge and powerful even our national swimmers might have second thought if we ask them to swim in it. 
Yes, it is the longest river in Malaysia.

As you can see the good bright sunny day in the back ground but it changes drastically

The boat trip was wonderful experience but I can't stand sitting on a wooden long chair on top for hours.Over all it was a great experience and I manage to see the rapid developments of the area. I was also lucky enough to have a glimpse of a pair of dolphins swimming along the boat but I didn't manage to take pictures of them. 
It must be for my eyes only.
If you want to try this adventure please do so because the changes are so fast and you might not recognize it when you come back. I wish we have a better mode of sea and river transportation because it can be a tourist extractions.
