PM visit to Serian 19th March 2011

To know what is going on around you is one of the important part of being an event person. Regardless of it's size and location, an event organizer should see and be there to see it happen. You can pick up a few tips and also knowing the mistakes or error made by that event organizer. It's called profiling.
These are some of the pictures I took during PM visit to Serian Town, Kuching, Sarawak.  There were thousand people everywhere you turned, a lot of roads closed, policemen are seen in every 10 meters apart, shops are full of people even the gas stations are full of cars waiting to refill their gas tanks.
The event started on Friday, a day before PM and other YBs arrived with plenty of showcases, food stalls and like every other gathering in our state there will always be a lot of stalls selling almost everything under the sun from toys to make up products that are mostly from China and Indonesia.
The beauty of the whole event is that our PM is there with TPM and our state YBs, spending time to know the needs and wants of the “rakyat”.
I am sure people in Serian had a good weekend with that visit and I hope the shop owners also benefits from this event.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

The Pullman Hotel where my clients were staying. A new hotel with a very beautiful view of Kuching City.

The crowds waiting for our PM to arrived. Some came as early as 6:00 am in the morning and some of the participants in the exhibitions were there for nearly a week.
This is also the main road used by the PM and other YBs

The reporters, photographers and blogger were there. There were also people carrying PBB flags and some with BN flags.

People waiting for our PM to arrived. This is the main entrance to the main area.

The security guys are every where. They cleared both sides of the road to make way for the VIP's cars. I manage to squeeze into this spot ...

YB Datuk Seri Hishamuddin, he was the most popular guy that day I think. Young and old were trying to get a picture with him and the security guys had a hard time. There were 2 middle aged lady were commenting about his good look. YB handsome.

Our TPM, can you spot him?

The main stage.

Other VIPs and YBs waiting in the main canopy. There were also reporters from local and national print and electronic media standing by.

This is a picture from one of the many canopies there. I believe this are some of the village people of the area.

Even though the clouds look like it's going to rain but it didn't. It was hot and I was sweating like nobody business.

The PM and CM came in the same car.

This is my best picture and my 1st picture of PM from my own camera so far.
What do you think?
He looks happy doesn't he?

Well, this man really making it all worth while. I wonder if PM manage to see him or did he manage to wave at him or he did it because he knows I am taking pictures behind him?

Again from the arrival.

The multicultural Sarawak in an event together.

I wonder anyone of this photographers manage to get a good clear picture.

The free hand styling photographers.

In the picture, CM, PM, TPM and 2 Deputy CM.
I wonder what is PM reading? Is it the program book or the names of recommended candidates for BN coming election.

Negara Ku.

PM, CM and TPM wearing a Bidayuh costume. look nice on them isn't it?

The picture of all the YBs on the main stage. They are other sitting below.

For those in Serian, well done. Hope to see you guys again in the near future.
