Cruising Sarawak River

When I was invited to tag along my clients to cruise with The Sarawak River Cruise boat I was excited to get on board. The journey from the Waterfront Jetty where the boat usually docked and get cleaned up. The fee is RM60 for adult and children (4-12yrs) is RM30 for a trip that takes 2 hours from 5:30 pm to 7:00pm.

It is true there were a lot of historical sites alright and a view that only can be seen when you are in the middle of the river. The journey begin with the panoramic view of the Astana and DUN, and down river to see the Old Court House with the Square Tower, the famous Kuching Waterfront where you still see people waving at you, the Malay villages and  a lot of hotel buildings along the river.

Here are some of the pictures I took from my CSL mobile phone.

The view coming down from up river.

 The boat turned here.

A nice picture of the Kuching Waterfront and a "perahu tambang".

Picture from down river toward the city.

The only 5 star hotel in the city, The Hilton Kuching.

The people on the boat, the boat people. hehehehe

Here is the cool view of the city when it is about to rain.

The other boats along the river bank

Again, the best view of the city during a rainy evening.

25 historical landmarks, actually there are more
